Murder

[System Malfunction]

We all think of Murder as a Human killing a Human. Does it apply with a Human killing an animal? if its murder when an animal attacks us and kills one of us, why is it not murder if we kill an animal? Why do we go to hell because of the fact that we killed another human, when we suffer no sacrafice if we kill millions of animals?

I quickly looked at my dictionary and it basically said that the act of murder normally applies to humans but can also be applied to animals.

It's illegal to kill any animal for no purpose.

But any animal that was previously deemed save who maliciously attacks a human is, if possible, put down. So I guess thats like.. it's penalty.

You do seem to like the religious debates sys :D the way I was told was something like this animals dont have consciousness as in they dont think I the cow will go left of the hill today and do my own thing... they act on instinct and in heards just self preservation.
And as humans we are able to aware of our consciousness and also display self sacrifice so more value is placed on our lives our consciousness and to kill or murder a human life is seen as a greater loss then that of an animal.
Saying that though I dont beileve anyone should be crule to animals I dont even like blood sports personally.
I dont know about the hell thing though I dont really beileve in hell so I couldnt comment there.

I think in some cases, murder should be a hangable offence. Like treason, treason is the only thing you can still be hanged in this country for.

With the murder, you should only be hanged in serious cases, like if the murderur did nasty things to the person before they hung them, or cut them up into pieces or something?

in my state the law cant kill people for muder :/. Hanging or treason. But like if someone killed my best friend and killed my dog, i would grieve over my dog more :/. Humans and animals have the SAME nerve endings so we feel the same pain. Murder is murder, murder is killing, animal or human, its still murder, but there is always man slaughter, which could also be called animal slaughter in our case :/. But this is also coming from a guy who thinks hunting should have been stopped years ago.

Naah i don't think there should be a death penatly cos that's an easy way out
for criminals because they don't suffer for the rest of their life for what they did.

Anyways i don't like it when humans just kill animals for fun (e.g. foxes) but
if it's like to feed humans to keep them alive and stuff then that's a fair excuse

@ Dann, death sentences are stupid because it's then a case of 'eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth' which is a bad example to go by.

I believe animals have complete conciousness that their brain can handle. We have complete conciousness of what our brain can handle, so why shouldn't they be able to?
