Because I am mixed race, I must just like RnB Music?

Well that's the stereotype I seem to get from a lot of people and I think it's wrong!

For the record I like most music, just not Heavy Metal.

So I want to know your opinions on this, and what can we do to change it?

People never think i'm mixed race, so i dont tend to get stereotyped for it.

When people find out, they usually tell me that i'm not mixed race :mad:

But people generally dont think i listen to the music i listen to, because i would appear to be a skinny little white girl, so people find it odd that i like alot of heavy metal and death metal.

But then because of the way i dress people think it's wierd that i listen to loads of dance music.

Well.. i'm black not mixed race but i get this aswell.

People think i just like R&B, hip hop and slow jamz and all that
crapp.

It's pretty annoying..

Nowadays they can tell i don't listen to that stuff much by
how i dress but then i get labelled things like 'grunger' and 'emo'.

Personally i think following a label is rather boring because
you can't change and be how you wanna be.

I'm really blonde and short so when people hear that I listen to metal, rock and screamo they think I'm insane and say that I don't suit it.
What they don't realise is that I listen to other stuff as well. Not just the above.
