Of course it should be legal everywhere. Just because some people don't agree with it doesn't mean they should be able to make it illegal. When a man and woman are in love, they get married. When a man and man are in love (Same with women) they should have the same rights. ^.^

It should be legal no matter the religious views of some closed minded individual...
Alot of gay and lesbian people would give their right arm and both their legs to be able to marry their partner--but they're not able to because it's not legal!
How fair is that?!

OMG NO! THEN PEOPLE WILL WANT TO MARRY ANIMALS AND MAILBOXES IT WILL BE THE END OF HUMANITY AS WE KNOW IT! HOMOSEXUALS RUIN THE SANCTITY OF MARRIAGE.
Obviously I am very sarcastic up there

Yes they should be able to get married and with the recognization and rights as anyother heterosexual marriage, and How do homosexuals ruin the 55 hour marriage of Brittany Spears
Please tell me how that is perferct?
but to be honest I find marriage as more of a spirtual thing then a governmental thing,
Because whos the government to say I dont love my spouse
and whos to say god doesnt still love me

I chose "Maybe" because I believe wholeheartedly that it should be a State's choice (and therefore a majority vote in said State).

Imagine if the Federal Government suddenly decided that the entire county had to let homosexual couples marry... the entire South would become even more homophobic after having it forced on them.

God created the Holy Union of Marriage not the Government.

I think that if two males or two females love each other very much as would a male and female couple, a homosexual marriage should be allowed.

To be honest i don't want to be marreid to another man, i don't really trust guys that much. I doubt my parents would attend it either especially after how they went at me after they found out i kissed another guy (That's the main reason i don't want to marry a dude), i'd say if i were to get married and my family didn't attend the wedding i'd just breakdown right there in the middle of it =/

Love my be expressed in the shape of a heart
But in my eyes love can be a circle if it wants to.

So if two gays want to be together then so be it!

God isn't the one you're trying to be officially recognized by.

Isn't that the idea behind marriage?

Isn't that the idea behind marriage?

The idea of Marriage is not to be reconized by ones community, the idea behind Marriage is to prove commitment towards one and another.

Then why care if it's "legal" or not?

love is love.
and why should someone tell you who you can marry?

Then why care if it's "legal" or not?

Because if homosexual marriage is not legal then a same sex couple cannot prove their commitment for each other.

That doesn't even come close to making sense.

Who are they "proving" their love to, if not their community?

Because they have to go through the challenges of a marriage together, such as raising a family. Marriage joins them as one.

What makes you think gay people want to be recognized? Or should i be more specific to what you said earlier, what makes you think I want to be recognised?

We don't use marriage for people to see us as who we are you know, it's not a master plan to get people to notice us.

It is, however, a master plan to get the tax-man to notice you. And the insurance-man. There are more men, too.

In order for them to "notice" you, however, you've gotta be recognized by the Government via marriage.
