As we all know Mother's Day is the day of the year that we shower our mother's with unconditional love although the dates vary with every country.
This brings us to this weeks debate; has mother's day become another commercial event? Or is mother's day still a valued day dedicated to respecting and thanking our mother's for what they've done for us in life? What do you think?
It has been made a huge commercial event by supermarkets' greed. But i still think that people do alot for their mothers on this day, i know i do :)

tell me one holiday that hasn't been turned into a money sucking day
stores gloat on people that actually seriously like the holiday for what it used to mean.
For me i still see the holiday as what it used to be,thanking your mother
but i feel under pressure a lot because it might as well be a law
you HAVE to buy presents for your mothers.
people look down on you if you don't,or didn't already
i have to say, sadly it is another commercial event

Any event can be commercialised....but in the respects of my mother i still go through with it.
It's like Christmas for mothers!
"Thanks for squeezing me out of your Vagina and letting me wreck it mum!"

Yes, mother's day has been commercialized, but not to the point where it's lost it's meaning.
Mother's day is about appreciating your Mum and it's there because they deserve it and [let's be honest] we take them for granted the rest of the year.
It's not about giving birth to you or giving you life - anyone can do that.
It's about really being a mother and doing all the things that proper mums are supposed to.
I think so anyway.
